Cuteness Overload!

Style Lucence the Blog

This is Cloud, our darling new family member 15 weeks young! He’s still unsocialized so he shivers when he meets new people and tends to shy away when we try to hold him, but surprisingly, he follows us around everywhere around the house (that is just soooo sweet). So I guess that’s a good start. Does anyone have a shy maltese like our sweetheart? Any tips and tricks to get him to trust us more? Any kind of advice is welcome! Thanks!

We’ve been cooking a lot at home these days and this is hubby’s best dish ever! It’s called jjimdak – chicken, potatoes, onions and clear noodles boiled down to perfection in a specially made soy sauce (slightly spicy). This is a dish we had frequently when we were overseas in South Korea, but something that is not offered over here in Atlanta, despite all the Korean restaurants that are around. So, our cravings led us to make it ourselves, or rather, himself. I am NOT a good cook. Luckily, hubby is! 🙂 Results? It was darn good! It was nearly identical to the jjimdak goodness that we used to have overseas. I would recommend this dish to anyone who travels to South Korea! 😉

South Carolina Day 3 – Folly & Charleston

Well, this is the last day of the trip that I wanted to share with everyone. We loved Folly Beach so much that we had to go back to feel the ocean breeze once again before we left. Besides, there was one thing missing from yesterday on Folly, crepes! Hubs & I absolutely love crepes. We were determined to have some when we were there but got discouraged to find that they were closed that day. Extensive research about the area told us that the crepes at ‘Tokyo Crepes’ were awesome and our wish to get some of that yum in our system was eventually granted this beautiful day (I probably wouldn’t have left until I had some)! Unfortunately, I was overly excited and forgot to capture nice pictures before the shape was ruined so the half-eaten crepes will have to settle on instagram 🙂 We also took another tour around Downtown Charleston to capture this beautiful, historic city on camera. We were sorry to have to say goodbye but I knew that the both of us would be back for sure.

South Carolina Day 2 – Folly Beach

Day 2 of our trip was the best: Folly Beach, SC. We’ve been working really hard to set up our online shop and being at the beach just felt so rewarding! I was very sure, a human being definitely needs some uninterrupted relaxation from time to time. It was great. It’s actually funny that someone like me can say such a thing because I’m the type of person who enjoys the city – architecture, buildings, shopping, fancy restaurants, etc. – not so much nature. The oohs and aahs and every other exclamation of delight you can think of only lasts for about 30 minutes at most. But it was different this time! The color of the water wasn’t crystal blue like it is down in Florida, but its emerald green waters were more than enough to satisfy a soul like me. Or maybe it was because I was with my wonderful soul mate! The important thing is, hubs & I both had a blast! Beautiful memories, imprinted.

South Carolina Day 1 – Downtown Charleston

The hubby & I haven’t been on vacation in a zillion years. It was a relatively short trip but felt so good to get out of town and breathe in some fresh air! There were condos with lovely, spacious balconies in front of this Waterfront Park which I would totally love to live in if I had the chance (hubby agrees). Everyday would be vacation. I think it’s THE ideal environment to work in, pretty confident to say I could stay stress-free, well, at least about 80% of the time 😉 The food was great, the scenery was great, and the people were great! What else do you need? Definitely give Charleston some of your time when you get a chance. Highly recommended.

Welcome to our blog

What does “Lucence” mean? We discovered this word while dreaming up a name for our new shop. It’s a form of the Latin word “lucere”, which means to shine.

Lucence

We spent months piecing together a collection of handbags in classic as well as the most sought-after styles. We believe a good handbag can be the perfect finisher to any outfit and love how men and women utilize them to create their very own look.

A beautiful bag can add the “shine” to any style!
